Facts & figures

A sticky experience

Since we relaunched Barkers online, their traffic has leapt, time spent per user on the website has doubled - and most importantly online sales have tripled.

Cost effective

We re-used Barkers existing investment by simply plugging right into their reservations system. This means that they see a single view of bookings and revenue - whether on or offline.

Barkers Leisure

Barkers Leisure is a family run company offering family holiday parks in Wales. Previously, every holiday parks had its own website with no online booking facility and no collective elements that would help to promote Barkers Leisure as a recognisable brand. Subsequently our brief from Barkers was to create a single website which could highlight every park, provide online booking and help raise the company profile.

Our first step was to create a logo for the Barkers brand which conveyed the key aspects of their holidays but would not hinder company expansion and contradict its future profile. Working with Barkers we decided upon a logo which conveyed the major aspects of a Barkers Leisure holiday; sun, blue skies and tranquil, rural locales. To compliment the company logo, each of their current roster of holiday parks had to be individually branded, promoting their individual strengths and profiles whilst maintaining a collective unison.

In keeping with a visual overhaul we also created a Flash movie to run on the homepage that gave a strong visual impression of the Barkers Leisure experience at their holiday parks.

As well as a compelling visual redesign we created an online booking system that integrated seamlessly with Barkers' own offline system and created a seperate section to promote Barkers Leisure's interests in luxury holiday lodge sales.

Ultimately the measure of our success was highlighted by an increase of 80% in website page views and a subsequent growth in the total number of bookings made.
